The course called “Vital Experience Portfolio” has been developed for those students who wish to receive academic credits for the experiences they have gained outside the classroom. In this context, it is crucial to take into consideration that these are not transferred automatically; instead, the creation of a personal portfolio is required. This portfolio consists of a compilation of essays and documentation showing the knowledge acquired during your master's program.
The main purpose of the portfolio is to provide students with the opportunity to gather and present all relevant documentation related to their learning process, both related to their experiences prior to the beginning of their studies and during their development.
The Internship course represents an essential part of the program and is intended for students who are doing their internship in charter and private schools that have established a collaboration with the educational program.
During this period, the student's work as a trainee in the partner school will be monitored and evaluated by an academic tutor and a tutor from the school itself. The final grade of this course will be determined by a continuous evaluation of the student's performance in the internship, as well as their active participation in the training seminars led by the academic tutor of the program.
The Master's Thesis (TFM) is an essential requirement for the achievement of studies and constitutes a fundamental part of the academic program. The TFM, which must be written in Chinese, aims to consolidate and apply the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the course in the different subjects, while encouraging reflection and research on teaching practice and Chinese teaching.
This work includes a didactic planning for a course in Chinese as a foreign language, second language or heritage language, together with the implementation of one of its didactic units. Students must design this plan considering the needs and characteristics of a specific group of students, and develop teaching material adapted to that particular context. The TFM aims to be practical and applicable, with the purpose of creating strategies and materials that contribute to the improvement of Chinese teaching in the specific field. Students will also have the guidance and advice of a tutor specialized in Chinese teaching as a foreign language.
