Students must submit a Master’s Thesis as an essential requirement to complete their studies. The thesis must be written in Spanish and it will be the result of the acquired competencies and knowledge during the academic year throughout all the master’s courses. Students will have the opportunity to reflect about their teaching Spanish experience.
Thesis includes an original curriculum design to teach Spanish as a foreign language, teach Spanish as a second language or Spanish for heritage learners. Students are required to develop a curriculum for specific groups of students, and create teaching materials for a particular context. The approach should be practical, focusing on the development of strategies and materials for effective teaching practices. It will be a practical proposal where teaching strategies and materials may assist and improve Spanish teaching instruction in the chosen area. Students will be supervised by an advisor specialist in the chosen field of teaching Spanish.
The Practicum has a workload of 30 ECTS credits.
