The regulation in this area is a real democratic and moral test for the States, and comparing the status of rights of illegal aliens in the Spanish legal system and in the United States may be of extraordinary mutual interest given the confluence of a number of similarities and differences.

- Preparation and organization of the International Conference “Immigration in a USA-Spain comparative context”.
- Preparation of the Manual on “The regulatory treatment of irregular immigration: a study of comparative law between USA and Spain” for subsequent publication.
