North American Comic
Comic Studies is a discipline that has experienced a high growth in the last years. Comic is a medium that allows an academic approach to it from different perspectives such as the study of the language used, or the study of the comic as a means for representing memory, history, and society. The Instituto Franklin-UAH, through this research area, focuses on the analysis of American comics from a North American Studies perspective, including the afore-mentioned points of view, as well as a comparative approach of how this type of literature develops in Spain and in the United States.
