Established in 2023, the Emily Dickinson Collection was created with the purpose of fulfilling the main objectives of the Franklin Institute-UAH: serving as a forum for the analysis and dissemination of topics related to North America and promoting the generation of knowledge and analysis.
The Instituto Franklin-UAH promotes and conducts research in various fields related to North America and, in particular, to the United States, such as history, thought, politics, economics, sociology, art, literature, linguistics, science and technology. The institute's interest is to understand, analyze and interpret aspects of the American reality and compare it with other realities, paying special attention to questions of identity and transatlantic relations, especially with Spain.
This interdisciplinary collection includes collective works derived from the participation in conferences held by the Instituto Franklin-UAH in the field of history, culture and transatlantic relations. In addition, the collection also includes biographies of relevant Spaniards in the field of North American Studies.
The Call for Articles derived from the 13th International Conference on Chicano Literature and Latino Studies is currently open.
