The selection of Chicano novels from Instituto Franklin-UAH has the purpose of fulfilling the fundamental mission of the Instituto; that is, to serve as a communicative, cooperative, and union platform between Spain and America, with the aim of promoting mutual knowledge. The titles published in this collection are intended to bring Spanish-speaking readers closer to literary creations that have had difficult access to commercial publishing houses and that have never been translated into Spanish before. These titles are works published in the United States, of proven artistic value and written in English, written by prestigious authors of Hispanic origin.
