Laura Álvarez Trigo, PhD in American Studies from the University of Alcalá. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Philology at the University of Valladolid. Her research focuses on North American literature and cinema from the second half of the 20th century through the lenses of media theory. She has participated in various projects focused on feminism and popular culture as well as in associations and groups that work to promote and make visible the work of young researchers such as PopMeC (Association for US Popular Culture Studies), SAAS Young Scholars (group of young researchers part of the Spanish Association of American Studies) and the FJI (Federation of Young Researchers)
