Policy Advisor on Internationalization at the Universidad de Alcalá and Honorary Research Lecturer in its Department of History and Philosophy. Next to his keen interest on internationalization and global processes affecting higher education, and his work with relevant stakeholders, such as the European Commission and the Spanish Government in these areas, including a wide experience in innovation international projects, his main topic of research consists in the historical analysis of the rules governing the use of force in international relations, with emphasis in the long 19th century. He has been Visiting Fellow in the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge, Research Fellow at the University of Tilburg, The Netherlands, and Law Clerk in the International Court of Justice, United Nations, as well as lecturer in different programmes offered by the Instituto Franklin-UAH. He shall submit his PhD dissertation in late 2020 at the University of Tilburg under the title “War or Peace: Measures Short of War and the birth of the Law of Nations”.
