Instituto Franklin-UAH offers an 8-week Student Teaching Program each semester. Students enroll in the course Student Teaching in the Spanish Education System, worth 6 credits.
This course includes a practicum as well as workshops at Instituto Franklin-UAH. The practicum is performed in a school in Alcalá de Henares, and includes in-class observations, lesson planning with co-teachers, and leading group instruction. Students complete 100+ clinical hours in the school.
Students are evaluated using the Danielson Framework Requirements:
- This program is designed mainly for students who are studying or are majors or minors in Education, related degrees or certificate programs.
- Student needs to have a Criminal Background Check in order to do the practicum.
- Approval from home university or institution.

School internships take place from Monday to Friday, from 9:00-12:00 pm, and 3:00-5:00 pm. On Tuesdays, from 3-5 pm, students have class at Instituto Franklin-UAH.

Cost of the program: 4.180€
Program includes:
- Tuition (1 course, 6 credits. Includes a school intership).
- Universidad de Alcalá credits.
- Homestays with families in Alcalá or university dorms and three meals per day.
