The Máster de Formación Permanente en ESL and Bilingual Education is part of the Teach & Learn in Spain Program, and offers specialized training on the theories and practices of teaching and learning English as a second language in different educational settings.
The Máster de Formación Permanente en ESL and Bilingual Education is structured into three distinct areas: academic courses, a life experience portfolio, and the development and submission of a Master's Thesis. The duration of the master's degree is one academic year and has a study load of 60 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System).
This one-year master's degree is accredited by the Universidad de Alcalá, a public university recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain.
Students in this program have the option to be language assistants in a school in Madrid, through which the student will come into contact with the social and cultural diversity of Spanish schools today. Through this experience, the student gains experience within the social and cultural diversity that can be found in Spanish schools.*

*The language assistantship can only be offered to students with passports from one of the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, the United States, the Philippines, Finland, India, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Sweden, the United Kingdom or the Netherlands.
