
Lectureship Aid - Auburn University
Includes the tuition waiver to study a Master in Hispanic Studies as Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auburn University, and a remuneration of approximately $14.400 gross distributed throughout the nine months of the academic year. Addressed to students in the field of arts.
Terms
- Registration sheet of the current academic year. Non-graduate students will have to turn in a certificate saying that they have completed their Bachelor Degree by June 2019.
- Student’s transcript with the average score.
- Having studies in the field of arts is mandatory for this lectureship.
- Ibt TOEFL exams with the score of 80%. Exams with an inferior grade of 23% in conversation and 16% in reading, writing and oral comprehension will not be admitted. (TOEFL results will be given in a month or so).
- Financial form documenting that the student has access to approximately 3000€.
- Three recommendation letters in Spanish or English from three professors. Two of them must be written by professors at UAH.
- Photocopy of DNI and passport (both are mandatory).
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Statement of purpose.
- Non-native speakers might have an oral interview to demonstrate their Spanish level.
Selection process
- Applications must be submitted at Registro del Colegio de San Ildefonso, Plaza de San Diego s/n.
- There will be a preselection of all the applications submitted. If necessary, students will have to do an oral interview.
- Applications will be evaluated by a commission who will select finalists with final approval by Auburn University. This process will be carried out during the second half of December.
- Students who have been selected will have to follow the application requirements of Auburn University. A research sample; an academic essay written in Spanish (5 pages minimum) and two mp3 recordings (one spontaneous recording on your personal life, academic interests, etc. and a second one reading a text in Spanish).
