Cultural Studies explore, from an interdisciplinary point of view, the different forms of production or creation of meanings, and how these are spread in nowadays societies.This research area tries to obtain knowleadge from general realities by analysing interrelated particular aspects of different disciplines such as economics, history, literature, sociology, media, political sciences, or cultural anthropology. Cultural Studies researchers focus on how a particular phenomenon in Spanish and American societies can have different causes and consequences in terms of ideology, ethnicity, gender, social classes, or the creation of nationalities.
