My interest in the environment responds to a deep emotional and ethical connection with Mother Nature and the living beings that inhabit her, human and non-human. My environmental commitment is reflected in concrete actions, from participating in environmental clean-ups to supporting reforestation projects. Therefore, when I discovered that there was a field of study in which two of my great passions, literature and nature, converged, I immediately knew that ecocriticism was my home and my refuge, both academically and professionally.
