Laura de la Parra is Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she teaches British and American literature. Her research focuses on women’s modern and contemporary British and American literature, with a particular interest on the representation of illness and its pathologization, the history of emotions, and experimental writing. She has been a visiting researcher at the Department of History, Classics and Archaeology at Birkbeck College, University of London (UK), with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Education, and a visiting fellow at the Department of English at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA, USA) with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard.
