Associate Professor at the Universidad de Alcalá. An eighteenth-century scholar. He has published several papers related to discover the lesser-known face of the Enlightenment: Del sentido moral a la moral sentimental (2004), La política moral del Rococó (2000). In this field, he has translated and introduced various French and Scottish enlightened authors. He has also devoted the last few years to the dissemination of Dewey's thought, mainly to his idea of democracy as a lifestyle rather than as differents political institutions. In this way, he manages the Center for Dewey Studies (located at the Universidad de Alcalá) and the collaboration on different books (John Dewey: Una estética de este mundo, John Dewey: participación democrática y educación o Al hilo del Pragmatismo).
