Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration by the Universidad Comercial de Deusto (Bilbao) and in Finance and Strategic Planning by the University of Leeds (United Kingdom). He is President of Bankia and of BFA Tenedora de Acciones, S.A.U. since May 9, 2012.

He is Vice President of CECA and chairs the Garum Foundation, he is Trustee of Everis, Orkestra, CEDE and Trustee of Honor of the España-USA Foundation and President of the Deusto Business School. He is President of the Fundación Bankia by Formación Dual.
