He was awarded Prince of Asturias Distinguised Visiting Researcher in Georgetown University (2007-2009) and has been a Visiting Researcher in Georgetown University for several years as well as in the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research area is US Foreign Policy. His work focuses on the Hispanic American relations in the first half of the 20th century from different perspectives – political, economic, cultural, intellectual – as well as on the deployment of US public diplomacy in Latin America and Europe during the Cold War. He has taught “Globalization and International Relations” for six years in the Inter-University Master’s Degree in Contemporary History and has published some works on the development of Global History in the US.
