Civil Engineer by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. 

He currently chairs the Board of Directors of Adriano Care.

He has a long history with Ferrovial, where he has served as a board member and CEO (1982-2002), Director-General of Construction (1992), CEO of Ferrovial Agroman (1999-2002), and Vice Chairman until 2020. He has also been Vice Chairman of Cintra (2002-2009), a member of the Board of Directors of CaixaBank (2020-2025), a board member of Holcim España, BAA (United Kingdom), Budimex (Poland), ETR 407 (Canada), National Express Group, an advisory board member of Transyt (Transport Research Center of the School of Civil Engineering, Canals, and Ports), and a member of the Board of Directors of the Círculo de Empresarios (Businessmen's Circle).
