Instituto Franklin-UAH organizes “Cambridge Day”
Tomorrow, Friday, October 20th, 2023, Instituto Franklin-UAH is organizing “Cambridge Day”, an event that will take place at the Colegio de Málaga of the Universidad de Alcalá for students of the Teach & Learn in Spain program who are training as English Language Assistants.
The main body is the introduction to Cambridge Speaking exams, and the training for preparing and marking these exams–this will be done in two parallel sessions, one focused on Primary Education and one on Secondary). The event also includes a session on Classroom management.
The key objectives of this event are to provide professional development and support for English Language Assistants of Instituto Franklin-UAH, to develop teaching practice in preparing students for Cambridge Speaking exams and other speaking tests, to explore activities for the conversation class using a communicative approach, and to provide opportunities to develop classroom management approaches, including techniques for giving instructions, giving feedback and scaffolding.
Teach & Learn in Spain is a graduate program designed for native or near-native English speakers. Through the Teach & Learn in Spain Program, students earn a Master’s Degree while gaining experience in a school in the region of Madrid (Comunidad de Madrid) as a language assistant.
