Instituto Franklin-UAH and Casa de América organized a panel discussion to analyze the role of the Spanish-speaking woman in corporate America
On Wednesday, March 15th 2023, as a celebration of International Women’s Day, Instituto Franklin-UAH and Casa de América collaborated in the organization of the panel discussion “Mujeres hispanohablantes en la empresa en EE.UU.”, which took place in Sala Cervantes at Casa de América.
The panel focused on the analysis of the role of female leadership in the corporate world, as well as the experiences of women in corporate America, paying special attention to Spanish-speaking women. The debate discussed central themes concerning the role of women in business, such as how to increase the number of women entrepreneurs, how to manage a healthy life-work balance, and the obstacles and advantages women may find in their work life.
The event had the participation of Laura González-Estéfani, CEO and founder of Venture City, Marina Fuentes Arredonda, CEO Fundación United Way, María Solanas, cofounder of ONU Mujeres España and Program director at Real Instituto ElCano, and Isabella Galeano, general counsel at Abertis Mobility Services, and were moderated by Diana Mata, journalist specialized in North American Studies.
The panel discussion was attended by around 30 people.
