Instituto Franklin-UAH hosted its First Study Abroad in Spain Visitor’s Program
From April 16th to 20th, we had the pleasure to host seven guests as part of the First Study Abroad in Spain Visitor’s Program.
This exciting and unique 5 day program was aimed to Faculty, Administration and Study Abroad Departments of different US institutions that participate in our Study Abroad Program. The goal was to provide our guests with a full immersion experience in Alcalá similar to the one that students have when they spend a semester with us.
Through workshops, working sessions and site visits we all had the opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities of program development in our institutions. All of our guests also had the chance to meet our faculty and staff, and visit some of our host families and University residences as well as some of the sites where our students perform their service learning, internships and practicum.
We want to thank all of our guests Dr. Holly Bouma from the University of Central Florida, Mega Couch-Edwards from Whittier College, Dr. Barbara Domcekova from the Birmingham-Southern College, Dr. Amy Esterhuizen from Clarion University, Lauren Hodges from University of North Florida, Laura Livermore from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and Clara Ronderos from Lesley University for making this interesting program possible.
