
Course: Mindfulness in Institutional Settings
Cathryn Lokey, Ed.S, has been a professional educator for over 20 years. She is an educational psychologist who worked as a school counselor for 12 years at a nationally-recognized charter school where she designed and implemented an innovative school-wide guidance and counseling program with a foundation in mindfulness. She also has extensive experience in program evaluation, curriculum design, the problem solving process, training and instruction, and public speaking. Cathryn has provided trainings and presentations at the local, regional, national, and international levels. In 2018 she was invited to speak at the TEDxFSU conference about the vital need for courageous approaches to solving current social challenges. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctorate in Learning and Cognition at Florida State University and conducting research on children’s perceptions of mindfulness and their experiences of its practices.
