I became interested in ecocriticism and ecofeminism during my literature studies, recognizing the environmental crisis as a central theme that contemporary culture and narrative have a duty to address. Finding a way to apply the tools of philology and literary criticism to this emergency has provided me with a clear path for academic activism.
